Longines is a Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. Founded by Auguste Agassiz in 1832, the company is known for its pioneering spirit, quest for precision, and timeless vision of elegance. It is a subsidiary of the Swiss Swatch Group, and its winged hourglass logo, registered in 1889, is the oldest unchanged active trademark registered with WIPO1.

Movement details
The caliber 890.1 is equipped with stacked mainspring barrels, one with an automatic and the other with a manual spring. This configuration provides the watch with a longer power reserve and eases the strain on the gears. This movement is considered one of the most sophisticated and finest movements Longines has ever produced.

  • Production Date: Early 1970s

  • Movement: Longines 890.1, dual winding winding

  • Dial: The sunburst dial is in very good condition without any scratches or marks.

  • Hands: Only carefully cleaned, retaining the original lume.

  • Crystal: Original acrylic.

  • Case: In excellent condition without any major scratches or marks. There are hairlines and minor marks from long-term use, but it has been cleaned.

  • Strap and Buckle: The original leather strap was replaced with a high-quality Seiko strap.

  • Accuracy: ± 10 seconds/day

  • Power Reserve: 55 hours

This high-end movement has been stripped down, cleaned, and serviced, ensuring you can enjoy the watch for years to come without worrying about maintenance. All functions have been tested and are working perfectly. The rubber gasket has been replaced.
